Reasons to Make the Dive: |
Easy shore access, nice clean facilities (although I didn't notice a place to wash gear...), some interesting life, quite a variety of sea stars, and wow, the Jellies were everywhere! |
|
Life to See: |
Lots of stars, jellies everywhere, lots of tube-dwelling anemones, various flat fish and sculpins. (Rumors of six gills here...but I haven't seen any yet... and rumors of wolfies and octos on the barge...) |

Description:

Nice shore dive...but watch out for the current! We did two dives here, and on the first one, we really had to fight against the current. I'm not a good judge of "speed" of the current, but I had to work hard...and my SAC showed it. The jellies were quite abundant! It was astonishing, in fact. There is easy shore access here...so just head out, watch the current, and head back. We've been told there's a barge that is straight out from the picnic structure that is up just a bit from the parking lot. We didn't go there...but had two fun dives anyway.
