Nice wall with lots of life, easy access if you pay the $15 at Hood Sport N Dive...short surface swim, not much current (But always dive within your training regardless.) |

Life to See: |
Nice wall with lots of life...oh wait, I already said that... Wolfies, Tube Dwelling Anemones, lots of nudibranchs, and a "fish bowl" at the top of the wall that is covered in Plumose with lots of fish around...copper rockfish, ling cod, perch of all sorts |

My Own Personal Rating: |
9/10 Great dive! |

Description:
|
I think this is a "classic" Hood Canal dive. It's got lots of life, and easy shore access if you pay the $15 at Hood Sport N Dive. We dove here to remove the invasive tunicate Ciona savignyi as part of a REEF/WSA project. At the time of our dives, Hood Canal, especially in the south, had been experiencing very low dissolved oxygen levels, and fish kills... So many of the creatures were stressed... The dive profile is great. Swim out to the buoy, drop down and head east towards the wall...then have fun until your turnaround pressure, then head up the wall. Make sure to save some gas for the fish bowl. I'd love to spend more time here. Great dive spot...
