Life to See:

Too many things to keep track of.  Wolf eels, Giant Pacific Octopus, lots of rockfish (brown, copper, and quillback are the ones I spotted), painted greenling, crab, rose stars, cushion stars, orange sea cucumbers.

Directions/Coordinates:

Well...I dove this with Bandito Charters on the Ocean QuestIt's a great way to dive this...we got dropped off while at anchor, but got picked up by a live boat.  So...I don't have directions for you.  Sorry.

I dove this with Bandito Charters on the Ocean QuestAs I said earlier, this is a great way to dive this, as it was a live boat.  My first dive here, on June 25, 2006, was with my AOW class.  Unfortunately, my regular dive buddy wasn't able to join me.  But I got paired with a good diver, so that helped.  We did our graceful giant strides into the water and descended down the anchor line where we attempted to group up and head towards the reef.  The reef is between 40-60 fsw, depending on where you are.  We headed over the reef and started our way along, looking in as many crevices as we could.  The reef is around 200 feet long, and anywhere from just a few, to up to 10-plus feet tall.  Lots of rocks, holes, dens, etc.  We spotted three Wolf Eels, my first time seeing them.  Wow!  This is a great site, in my opinion.  I could just about spend a whole dive photographing one set of rocks, with all of the crevices with life.  Sculpins all over, stars all over, crab tucked away, octo, and lots of other great stuff.

I highly recommend this site.  At slack, this would be OK from a small boat.  But if any current picks up, it'd be nice to be on a charter that can do a live pick-up.
