Redondo - June 11, 2006
My Dive Buddy, Tim, celebrated dive number 100 (congratulations!) on our first
dive of the evening. Only a few pictures from that one, as my camera
batteries died on me. Rookie mistake. After a long surface interval,
we headed back into the really poor vis (5-7-feet) for a night dive and spotted
our usual octos. The Blackbelly Eelpout was very abundant, along with
numerous Pacific Snake Prickleback. At the end, during our safety stop
under the pilings, we got swarmed by a "krill-like" animal. Very weird.
Then, on the way to shore from there, I shot some video of a Prickleback eating
some of the "krill" for dinner. Not the greatest video...but it shows the
swarm, and the fish at the buffet.
